ZeeZee

Privacy policy

The short version: ZeeZee collects nothing, sends nothing, and stores everything you log on your own device.

Effective 5 September 2026

This policy covers the ZeeZee iOS app (“ZeeZee”, “the app”) and this website. ZeeZee is made by Yahya Elfard (“we”, “us”). Contact: yahyaelfard.ye@gmail.com.

1. What we collect

Nothing. We do not collect, receive, transmit, store, sell or share any personal data from the app — not your name, not your baby’s name, not your feeds, nappies, sleep, symptoms or weights, and not any identifier for you or your device.

This is not a policy commitment we ask you to take on trust. The app contains no networking code: it makes no requests to us or to anyone else, so there is no mechanism by which your data could reach us even if we wanted it.

2. What the app stores, and where

Everything you enter — your children’s names, dates of birth and sex, and every feed, nappy, sleep, solid, symptom, note and weight you log — is written to a database file inside ZeeZee’s own storage on your device. That storage is protected by iOS and is not readable by other apps.

Your settings (units, feeding style, appearance) are stored the same way.

None of it is copied to a server. There is no ZeeZee account, no login, and no cloud sync.

3. Backups you choose to make

ZeeZee can export your data to a backup file so you can move to a new device or keep a copy. That file is created by you, saved wherever you send it, and handled by iOS from that point on. If you save it to iCloud Drive, email it to yourself, or share it with someone, the privacy of that copy is governed by whichever service you chose — not by us. We never see it.

If your device is backed up to iCloud or to a computer, ZeeZee’s database is included in that backup, as with any app. Those backups are Apple’s, covered by Apple’s privacy policy, and we have no access to them.

4. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising

ZeeZee contains no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no advertising SDK and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not use cookies in the app. We do not build a profile of you, and we do not track you across other apps or websites, so no App Tracking Transparency permission is ever requested.

5. Third parties

Because the app sends no data anywhere, there are no third-party data processors for the app. Apple operates the App Store and may give us anonymous, aggregated statistics such as download counts and crash reports you have opted to share with developers through iOS — these come from Apple, are not linked to you by us, and are governed by Apple’s own policies.

The WHO weight-for-age growth reference used to calculate percentiles is bundled inside the app. Nothing is fetched to produce a percentile.

6. This website

This site is static — plain HTML and CSS. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and embeds no third-party scripts or fonts. It is hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server request logs (such as IP address and user agent) to serve pages and protect against abuse; see the Vercel privacy policy. We do not read, retain or analyse those logs to identify visitors.

7. Children

ZeeZee is intended for parents and carers, not for use by children. It records information about an infant, entered by an adult. Because none of that information is ever transmitted to us or to anyone else, no child’s data is collected, processed or disclosed by us at any point.

8. Your rights

Data-protection law gives you rights to access, correct, export and erase personal data held about you. In ZeeZee those rights are exercised directly in the app, because you hold the only copy:

We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing for us to disclose, amend or delete on request, and nothing we could be compelled to hand over.

9. Security

Your data is protected by your device: iOS app sandboxing, and file-level encryption when a passcode or Face ID is set. Setting a device passcode is the single most effective thing you can do to keep your log private. Backup files you export are not encrypted by the app, so store them somewhere you trust.

10. Data breaches

We hold no user data, so a breach of our systems cannot expose your log. If that ever changes — if a future version of ZeeZee introduces an account or cloud sync — it will be opt-in, this policy will be updated first, and you will be told inside the app before any data leaves your device.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes to what the app does with your data will also be surfaced in the app itself.

12. Not medical advice

ZeeZee is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device. It describes what you have logged and how it compares with your baby’s own recent pattern. It does not diagnose, treat or give medical advice. Always speak to a qualified health professional about your baby’s health.
